ABOUT THE DISTRICT:
Scappoose School District is located approximately 20 minutes north of Portland. It has five schools; three elementary, one middle, and one high school. Scappoose also has two charter schools with a total student population of approximately 2300.

COMPENSATION:
- Starting Salary: $92,453 – 113,705 (dependent upon experience)
- 260-day contract
- Generous benefit package including monthly TSA contribution
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Oregon administrative license (or ability to acquire)
- Record of positions in education with increasing responsibility
- Successful Human Resources and administrative experience
- Demonstrate skill and leadership in the management of personnel
- Understanding of Oregon and Federal educational laws and regulations
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of current trends in education
- Demonstrated understanding of teaching and learning best practices
- Understanding of state and federal leave laws
- Understanding of risk management and safety guidelines

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate and facilitate recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of district staff
- Contribute to effective labor relations by participating in the collective bargaining process and district labor0management team
- Prepare periodic reports for submission to the Oregon Department of Education, COSA, and OSHA
- Work collaboratively to administer the Frontline Absence Management and Time & Attendance systems, Public School Works system, TalentEd Perform and Recruit & Hire, and other district used HR systems
- Write and revise policies, procedures, and forms for all areas of responsibility
